The Hitting Stops Here! interviewed on Ch. 52, Olelo TV, HI
by Professor Genie Joseph of Chaminade University, March 3, 2010

Paula Flowe, Exec. Director of The Hitting Stops Here! was interviewed by Professor Genie Joseph of Chaminade University in Hawaii on the topic of American school corporal punishment, that is, the beating of children on their buttocks with wooden boards.
This practice, known as school corporal punishment, is sanctioned in 20 US states and its territories. Parents have no legal recourse when their child has been badly injured and notes sent by parents denying the right of the school to beat their child are ignored in numerous cases.
Primary targets: Black Americans, Latinos, Native Americans and children with autism and other special needs.
